Today we released an update to address some bugs that cropped up. This version should be incredibly stable. Please use it and let us know what you think!

• Influence Score fixed on user profile popup
• Fixed Dotted Tweets send tweet button
• Fixed profile popup on follow users
• Fixed follow back
• Fixed RT sometimes showing HTML entities
• User Management issues resolved
• Auto Complete now works within the status text, rather than just at the end
• Sent and Recieved DM panes now remember minimized states
• From links in DM panes now link again

I haven’t written a blog post in a while, but I wanted to share with you something that our users have talked about which really caught our eye.

Branded URL Shorteners. This is something that we love the idea of, i.e having a url shortner just as a complete example:

mmt.com/sdfdsf

Or for say someone like cocoa-cola:

coke.com/dgdfgfd

This is something we’ve been looking at and we have some pretty good ideas. How cool will it be when you can brand your tweets and your shortened URLs with your own domain.

Not only that, we plan on making this service completely free to MarketMeTweet users too.

We’ll keep you up to date and thanks for all your great ideas – it’s important to stress that we do listen to your great ideas.

I know it wasn’t long since our last blog post but I wanted to show you something cool.

Here is scheduled tweets using google calendar, a new feature in version 2.0

It will allow you to schedule tweets on the go, via iPhone, Blackberry, Android, Laptop, anything you use that has your Google Calendar on it!!!

Using the magic of pausing jing we made 2 hours elapse in a a few seconds (text edit auto corrected it to “jingo!”)

It’s getting closer to the release of our new app (2.0) and we’re getting really excited!

One thing I wanted to write about, is that after the release of the app is the framework we’re putting in place for an Open Developers API. We’re going to be opening up our systems in a transparent way, give you the tools you need to make plugins, or improve what we’re already giving you – very exciting stuff.

A few examples of what you’ll be able to do:

1. Create Firefox, Chrome, Opera plugins using our API – we’re releasing our own firefox & chrome plugins too as an example.
2. Create plug-ins for the application itself. With the new intuitive layout, plugins is something we’re making way for.
3. Create your own application, with all the disposal of our API features. Including features such as custom panes, scheduling tweets, as well as much much more.

Why do this?

The MarketMeTweet user-base is growing – We see huge potential for businesses, entrepreneurs, freelancers & developers to build alongside or on top of MarketMeTweet. Ultimately enriching the experience for everyone and paving the way for a great future of MarketMeTweet.

The Twitter API isn’t the easiest to develop for in the world, so we’ve done all the hard work for you, and added functionality that they don’t offer!

What We’ve Got in Mind?

Plugin & App Marketplace

With an influx of developers and entrepreneurs developing for MarketMeTweet, this opens up the opportunity for a Marketplace. Got a good idea? Develop it with the API, put it on the marketplace for the users of MarketMeTweet, then sell it or give it away for free – you choose.

We’ll also aim to add features to the API that developers are demanding

Developers – Create your Own Application

If your an application developer, we could save you time. Don’t fancy coding everything that we’ve created? Don’t blame you. We’ve written a good 40,000 lines of code and have servers, backup servers and database servers in place to handle the load for our MarketMeTweet users. When we open up the API, you’ll be able to create your own applications, using our API to do all the hard work. With the XML feeds you get back you can do all sorts of magic! You’ll be able to create your own applications with a Developer license and create your own applications with no mention of MarketMeTweet anywhere, just our API silently doing your bidding in the background.

To Summarize

MarketMetTweet is going to be extensible, flexible and we’re loving the opportunity for you guys to be entrepreneurial with our product – and looking forward to you doing something with our application framework that we never imagined ourselves.

As promised here’s an early Screenshot of Version 2 of MarketMeTweet!  Remember, anyone with version 1 gets version 2 for free, and the price IS GOING UP. So grab yours now!

Interface

We’ve overhauled the entire interface from scratch, rebuilding it from the ground up with all the feedback we’ve had from you guys. Here are just a few of the things that will be in the new interface.

• -Resizable interface much like other rival management tools like TweetDeck (but better), much more intuitive and easy to use.
• -Tab Based Layout. No Longer do you have to stare at 1 thing whilst your doing the other. Tabs will be divided up into Marketing, Twitter, Facebook & Settings (yup we mentioned facebook too – we’ll come to that)
• -Tweeting from multiple Accounts at the SAME TIME.
• -We’re moving scheduled tweets into a much more intuitive position, layout and control (its awesome).
• -Custom Search Panels
• -Faster, and smoother
• -Arrangeable Panes – organize whats important to you.

Features

So a new version wouldn’t be complete without new shiny features to show off

• -Custom location targeting, so basically you enter a town, place, city, county, country (much more targeted than before)
• -Email alerts, you’ll be able to get email alerts for all sorts of things, searches, @replies etc.
• -Facebook, yup we’re bringing in your news feeds, your feeds, posting to facebook and even posting to fan pages too
• -Google URL builder, building google URL’s to track inside Google Analytics!!
