As promised here’s an early Screenshot of Version 2 of MarketMeTweet!  Remember, anyone with version 1 gets version 2 for free, and the price IS GOING UP. So grab yours now!

Interface

We’ve overhauled the entire interface from scratch, rebuilding it from the ground up with all the feedback we’ve had from you guys. Here are just a few of the things that will be in the new interface.

  • -Resizable interface much like other rival management tools like TweetDeck (but better), much more intuitive and easy to use.
  • -Tab Based Layout. No Longer do you have to stare at 1 thing whilst your doing the other. Tabs will be divided up into Marketing, Twitter, Facebook & Settings (yup we mentioned facebook too – we’ll come to that)
  • -Tweeting from multiple Accounts at the SAME TIME.
  • -We’re moving scheduled tweets into a much more intuitive position, layout and control (its awesome).
  • -Custom Search Panels
  • -Faster, and smoother
  • -Arrangeable Panes – organize whats important to you.

Features

So a new version wouldn’t be complete without new shiny features to show off

  • -Custom location targeting, so basically you enter a town, place, city, county, country (much more targeted than before)
  • -Email alerts, you’ll be able to get email alerts for all sorts of things, searches, @replies etc.
  • -Facebook, yup we’re bringing in your news feeds, your feeds, posting to facebook and even posting to fan pages too
  • -Google URL builder, building google URL’s to track inside Google Analytics!!
  • -More URL shorteners, going to give you TINY URL, OWLY and more.
  • -Custom Reply templates for reply campaigns (enhanced a lot).
  • -Enhance following and unfollowing to make it so much easier.
  • -Searching twitter bio’s for matches (very cool)
  • -ping.fm integration!

So the release for version 2.0 is set for the first week of June, so not far off, and thanks so much for all your feedback. In the mean time we’ll still be updating Version 1.

Cost

Version 2.0 will be free for all existing users as are all future updates

Hey... it's the wrong error message.... will be patched. It should say "you're over the character limit." Those messages are getting confused.

OK TAMMY THAT WORKED!!! THANK YOU!

One thing i'd suggest is restarting the whole app - it could reset whatever is messing it up (just a thought) :)

We need to have a closer look - can you put the error into support.marketmetweet.com for Tom to have a look at? He and Bill will figure it out and let you know what the deal is :)

but thats the thing I am nowhere near over the character limit. Its saying the tweet should be set for the future. Even when I set it to post tomorrow it gives me the same message

Hey... it's the wrong error message.... will be patched. It should say "you're over the character limit." Those messages are getting confused.

oh yea Tammy I know, I wouldn't do the same exact tweets but I would rather not have to schedule each individual tweet. If I can just load up a bunch a tweets and have them post automatically at different time increments. Just have them post every hour or so.

My schedule tweeting isn't working for some reason. It keeps saying that the tweet must be for the future but I am putting it for the future

But in terms of recurring tweets Hellz... that's not allowed. Twitter doesn't allow reoccur tweets so we don't advise anyone doing duplicate tweets over and over again.

Well in other twitter marketing apps I've seen that you can autopost by just loading up some tweets and then schedule them to post ever 30 mins, or every hour. as opposed to the marketmetweet way where you have to put in the exact time you want to tweet and it will only tweet that once.

BTW when I try to schedule a tweet it gives me a message saying that it has to be scheduled for the future but I am putting in later dates.

H Hellz,

Oh I see what you mean.

Yes in our version 2.0 software which is being released soon, we have the ability to import tweets and do that. We're also working on currently the ability integrate Google Calendar and iCal into it too.

Hope this helps,

Alan, wow, you keep beating me to these! You said it all. Yes, we love our new customers but we do have to say a big thank you to those who believed in us when we were brand new :)

will there be a way to autopost via market me tweet or is the schedule tweets the only way to autopost?

Hi Hellz,

You can 'auto-post' via scheduled tweets in the current version. You can get templates ready in reply campaigns by finding targeted matches. Not sure what other ways you would want / or could 'auto-post'.

ALTHOUGH: Version 2.0 which we are releasing soon, has the ability to post RSS feeds automatically to Twitter and Facebook (like networked blogs on facebook).

Hope this helps, also curious as to what other auto posting methods you would like to see?

All the best,

Also, from your screenshot it looks very...shall we say 'big' and a lot like TweetDeck. It is still going to be as easy to get around as it is using the current interface?

Thanks again
Steve.

Hi Steve,

As much as we admire Tweedeck, we find tweetdeck very confusing and very all over the place.

But what we've done is taken a similar approach, but at the same time made it far more intuitive, efficient, and easier :)

- Still taking into account the areas of Twitter, Facebook, Marketing (for both) and Settings.

Hope that puts your mind at ease

Alan,

Hey Tammy and Alan!

Glad to be on board.

I'm wondering as someone who's already picked this up before the monthly pricing has come in, you've verified that we get free upgrades without monthly fees, but what version will we be getting?

I am currently managing my own brands within there (two separate accounts) but am interested in the future in using the software to work for other companies external to me. Will this be possible with the free upgrades for previous buyers or will it be the equivalent of a Lifetime which is purely for your own companies / brands?

Thanks again :)

Steve.

Hi Steve :)

Thanks for your support :) & Comments, i'm sure everyone will find our replies useful.

So lets go over what you've said.

You picked up the app before the monthly or lifetime plans came into effect. You are entitled and will receive every future update, and our firefox and chrome plugins, like all our other users. You will be getting the same app as the new monthly users who will also be getting the new version 2.0 app, you'll be getting 2.0 as well :)

Basically as a big thank you to our users like you who have been with us from the start - our way of saying thank you is to look after you and give you access to lifetime updates, support etc.

RE brands for other companies.
If you are using MarketMeTweet to manage external companies to you, you will need a professional license, but as a user before the package came in, you are also entitled to the prices and lifetime price.
If you are using it for your own twitter accounts and businesses than the license you have now, or the current monthly, yearly or lifetime would be fine.

To Summarize:
For managing other companies twitter accounts you need a professional license.
If you manage your own twitter accounts and businesses, then thats fine, the monthly, yearly or lifetime licenses apply :)

Wow! A long comment, i'm exhausted now.

Thanks,
Alan

Hey Alan, thanks for all the great replies! Trevor, Earl, Steve, hi! :)

Hi,

Can you have multiple "brands" on one account i.e. can you send tweets out with different website extensions from one account.

Thanks,

Trevor

Hi Trevor,

Yes you can have multiple "brands" per twitter account and can change which one you are using via the settings.

We've made this more intuitive and easier in the upcoming version 2.0 though.

Hope this helps,

Alan

Hi Alan

I'm still not really clear as to what the difference would be. I assume with the lifetime one could still manage multiple twitter accounts be it for personal or professional. Is there some different functionality with the professional vs the lifetime ?

Hi Earl,

No problem.

You can still manage multiple twitter accounts on the lifetime license.

The easiest way to decide which type of license you need is to ask yourself this question?

Are you managing other users Twitter accounts besides your own? If so, you need the professional. If not, you are fine with the other licenses, monthly, yearly or lifetime, and still able to manage multiple twitter accounts.

:)
Alan

Can somebody explain the difference between Lifetime & Professional? As well i see that professional says it's 199/ month- but when you go to PayPal it's a one off payment.

Hi Earl,

No problem at all, and thanks for the feedback, we'll update it to be easier.

The difference is. With the professional plan, you can use this to manage your clients twitter accounts.

All other packages, including the Lifetime are designed to be used for your own business, and those twitter accounts within it (unlimited).

If you are a social media consultant, and look after your clients via a tool, then the professional package is for you.

The professional plan is $199 / month, and has been adjusted, thanks for letting us know, very honest of you. It was an error as we just released our new website.

Hope this helps,

All the best Earl.

Kind Regards

Alan @MarketMeTweet

Yep, in the UK here too, in Manchester :p

Just take a look when you can/

Cheers.
Steve.

Yay! Thanks for the help Alan, appreciate it.

I've opened a support ticket but haven't had an answer yet, I was just wondering how to upgrade to version 1.7 as I have version 1.3.1.

Plus I'm having a couple of other small issues. My ticket number is here: 294959

Thanks
Steve.

Hi Steve,

It's a national holiday here in the UK so I'm all alone, i'm just doing a few bits and bobs in the office.

But I'll see if I can take a look at your ticket for you :)

And no problem :) Thanks for you and everyone else's continued ongoing support.

Speak soon,

Alan

Hi there

I just bought your most recent software 1.3.1. So 2.0 will be a free update for me, though people buying 2.0 will have to pay a monthly fee for the software? And I won't have to pay any monthly fees?

Thanks
Steve.

Hi Steve, those of you who brought our software prior to Version 2.0 or monthly fees will not have to pay any monthly fees :) This will be only for new customers :)

Hope that clarifies,

Alan @ MarketMeTweet
