MarketMeSuite version 4, “The Social Inbox” is coming. It’s coming in early 2012 and we’re getting really excited about it here at MarketMeSuite HQ. I’ve shared bits and pieces of what Version 4 will be like, but we haven’t yet shared the mission… the true purpose behind this new release and why it will be so revolutionary… until now.

Curation

You hear that word a lot.  There’s even an entry in Wikipedia for Digital Curation:

Digital curation is the selection, preservation, maintenance, collection and archiving of digital assets.

But what does that mean to you, as a social media user, marketer, business. Is there a such thing as “Social Curation?”

It is starting to emerge. In a recently article on ReadWriteWeb, Jon Mitchell writes about Storify, and how during recent #OccupyWallStreet events, startup Storify became the go-to site for news, because of it’s unique ability to curate social news in one place.

Email meets Social Media: “The Social Inbox”

MarketMeSuite Version 4 takes a different  approach to Social Media Management, Monitoring, and Marketing. It feeds everything through what we are dubbing the “Social Inbox” so that you can filter, manage, engage, store — in a word “Curate” your social world.

We’re starting with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, but plan to add other network integration soon after the release. The photo above is still very much in beta, so expect some interface changes, but this post is about the fundamental purpose of our newest release. And that purpose is Curation.

Beyond simply “collection,” V4 will allow you to curate by location, network, team member.  This is powerful. It becomes lead curation. And that’s what it’s all about. Cutting through the clutter, organizing your marketing, engaging in the most relevant places and analyzing what you’re doing right, what parts of the world you’re hot in, and the places your not.

Social Lead Curation. It’s going to be be big, it’s going to be powerful, it’s going to be local.

Beta testing is starting in early December. We’ll keep you posted.

Now that G+ has hit "critical mass" and knowing that social shares are becoming a more important marketing metric, along with a compelling content curation strategy, I suspect you guys will sig increase your user community from 20,000 to 100,000+ in the near term.

Hey... sound good. "... “Curate” your social world." Like it, curate.

@TammyKFennell Hey there !! I see you trying out the beta version #mmsbeta ...with a 100 volunteers ... Hope I am not too late to jump on board ?? I said leave it to the New Year ...but if I can try it out now !! Why not !! Hopefully I am the first South Africa user ... ;-) Thanks for sending me this link Tammy ... MMS is an awesome product !!!

@BrettDovey sure can, just email me at tammy@marketmesuite.com and i'll set you up.

@marketmesuite @InfoSara I'm interested in trying this. Sara, do you use it yet?

@HelpWeveGotKids I use @marketmesuite as backup, haven't figure out how to add some of my Twitter list onto homepage.

@InfoSara Twitter lists live in their own section dedicated to lists only. V4 will allow you to filter for exactly what you want in one.

@TammyKFennell Great, look forward to V4.

@InfoSara Getting close! #mmsbeta testing has begun :) http://t.co/FxYgIYxX

@TammyKFennell Is it too late to do beta testing? Would love to see it.

@InfoSara I'll send you an email with info on access. Be aware though, it's still VERY beta!

@InfoSara just sent you #mmsbeta access

@TammyKFennell Got it, will read ;) Thanks!

@kevin globalfibernet The whole curation concept intrigues me. looking forward to updating posts on how it progresses. Currently I use twuffer to manage a lot of my clients needs, but we have a very half-hazzard reporting structure... seems this would be a much better solution... thanks!

@kevin globalfibernet can't wait to make it live Kevin! #mmsbeta started today with a group of 100 volunteers.

@TammyKFennell look forward to seeing more

Sounds great! I haven't really seen anyone really executing an inbox integration to date. Really excited to see what will be. :-) thanks

@michaelaconley We are excited too! Beta testing starts monday with 100 helpful volunteers :)

This is awesome!!thanks for letting us know about it...Great job!!

testing from livefyre for moderation.

@regular_dhara Seems fine, thanks, I was doing it wrong!

@regular_dhara yep, worked.

Looks like it's really going to be useful! Can't wait to try it out!

I am excited to try Social Lead Curation... I will wait for this. I think this is a great tool for organizing the social media collections. Thank you for sharing...

@CTchrisadams well, I'm already using our v4 so I have a hidden weapon ;)

@marketmesuite I'll do that, thanks for the quick response. Very impressive social monitoring :)

Well if there is one person that knows how to surprise Social Mediam then that person is Tammy and her team. The MMS 4 looks amazing and now you made me just more excited to have the new MMS 4. So January is in 2 days right we can just skip December looks like is worth of skipping it this year :)

@jureklepic@kred soon too.

@jureklepic Glad you are excited. we are too! Will e-mail you later so you can get that blog post out which i'm psyched to read! Talking to kred soon too :)

I like the look of it from the screenshot. Anything that helps organise and collate social media data is a great time saver.

@Charlotte74 I'm looking forward to you trying it in early 2012 :)

Looking forward to this, not sure if you have seen what I'm doing with my "More Digital Referrals" course - http://bit.ly/sVIJfI - but I'd be interested to see if this would be a better dashboard tool suited to the system I'm teaching. I'm a guest on #SmallBizChat on Nov. 30th at 8pm (EST) where I'll be discussing my course.

@hyermish 8pm EST is a little late for us since we're in the UK, but maybe trishbaden can pop in and see what its all about :)

@CoffeesCommutes ok good feedback. The web version will be a different interface I think your colleague will find it easier :)

@MarketMeSuite I don't find it bad, but one of my colleagues has trouble reading from the dashboard

Awesome news Tammy, I'm super excited about this if it does what I think it does. How would you compare it to Curation Soft?

@JohnKomatsoulis Hi John, Curation Soft seems more focused on being for sharing content to your blog, whereas MarketMeSuite is focused more on curating leads and searches to proactively engage across social channels. I can't wait for everyone to try it!

Looking forward to V4. Know it will curate it all.

@Eddie Edwards We're looking forward to it too :) Thanks Eddie.

Wow.... I can't wait to test V4... Oh and Robert Scoble was asking for advice on what Social Media platfrom to use for their team at Rackspace, he didn't like how expensive Hootsuite was for enterprise and asked for suggestions so I recommended you guys. You should definitely reach out to him.

@AdamTeece I will definitely reach out to scobleizer :)

@AdamTeece To be clear, he tried HootSuite because of his frustrations with managing his Google+ Pages which HootSuite allows ;-). He does enjoy trying new tools as well as making videos.

@daveohoots Hi Dave, Thanks for stopping by :) I think that some of what we're doing is complimentary to what you guys do at HootSuite rather than directly competitive. Our next version really approaches social marketing from a different direction. Maybe we should chat sometime. I'm on Twitter tammykfennell :)

@TammyKFennell when am I going to see a big MMS announcement on MY blog :) ?

@LiveUrLove are you inviting a guest post? I'm so up for one... As for announcements, you're in the beta, you'll see very soon :)

@tammykfennell you are always invited and you can brag about MMS as much as you want :)
